Difficulties in Shooting Day 2
Difficulties in Shooting Day 2
1800 hours: I start collecting the cast from their respective locations
1900 hours: We head out to the set location
1920 hours: Put makeup and ready the props
1925 hours: Set the camera, and lights
1930 hours: Lights, Camera, Actio-
1930 hours 30 seconds: Suddenly, old man, comes in wearing a brown shawl enters comes from behind and puts his hand in front of the camera lenses
"Why are you filming in my community", he says.
I reply, "It's a public location, we can shoot here, according to the law"
"NO YOU CANNOT, GET OUT OF MY PLACE," he yells at strength 20
"Excuse me, but we're in the process of shooting our college project Sir," I respond politely
"GET OUT, OR I'M CALLING THE POLICE, AND THEY'RE GOING TO SEIZE ALL OF YOUR EQUIPMENT".
Upon hearing this, I became worried about my equipment. And decided to leave. So I motioned to my crew members to get in the car.
Whilst in the car, one of my crew members started crying, and became agitated due to the extreme stress levels he just faced.
I had to calm him down, and use Neuro Linguistic Programming techniques to make his breath more stable.
With the rest of the crew, I gave them refreshments so they also could be in a more relaxed state.
Epilogue: Shooting was cancelled, morale was down, but passion for media never faltered. Therefore, we set up a new date for shooting.
Though shooting failed, we learned invaluable lessons on how to deal with people. And that's something very important that we're going to need throughout our lives
